A year later...

Hello everyone.

So it's been a year since I decided to pick up a pencil and try my hand at drawing, and well its been quite a learning experience. From learning what manga means, to exploring who I am, I'm truly in indebted to a Mr. Mark Crilley.

After watching a certain animated series(from Japan of course) I wanted to learn how to make comics. From there I began finding out there was a lot more to comics then just writing a story and drawing faces with dialog. To which I stumbled upon on one of Mark Crilley's videos, How to Draw Manga: Head shape and Facial Features. After drawing my first ever face, I realized I had something. I knew it wasn't a fantastic peace of art, but I was proud of it and also were my grandparents and mother. So I decided to keep at it using nothing more then a number two pencil and copy paper. Lol I later then upgraded to 20 year old drawing paper my mother had laying around.

I don't upload as much as I should and I know it. There's so much I want to do, but still afraid of doing. One thing I'd like focus on and start doing is uploading comic ideas as in drawing out scenes with both characters and personalities in mind. One reason I've been so quiet the past 6 months is.....anatomy. Oh anatomy And of course some college classes and caring for my mother. I know for a fact though I'm not ready to make a comic so I won't be doing that quite yet.

Anyways the journey has been fun. I've met some great people and made a few friends and I hope the journey from here only gets richer. Later guys.

A little side note: I didn't want to stray to far from what Mr. Crilley's tutorial offered. The only real difference is the hair and her well looking much older.  =/





My only regret was not starting sooner...
